Aparicio Family Columbia River Fall Session {Brewster}

Today just happens to be really cold compared to what we’ve been used to so I’m just going to go back to this perfectly delightful day that was the best temperature, not too hot and softly sunny!  I love that this is another big family that I get to work with and even though they don’t have any tiny kids it was a blast!  I made them hike all over one of my favorite spots so we could take advantage of the beginning of fall and the end of summer.  One thing that I loved is the interactions between the only boy, Cole and all his sisters, they are pretty adorable all together and even though there may have been a couple moments he maybe wasn’t as thrilled about pictures, I think I got some genuine smiles and love between them. ;)  Having lots of siblings ensures you have friends for life and I think this group totally fits that, plus they included a lot of color in their outfit choices and that will always make me happy!

Yojaira's Senior Lake Session {Alta Lake}

I don’t know if I just feel this way every fall or if it really is just more brilliantly colorful this year, but regardless I’m absolutely loving how much color I have found in my area!  Everywhere I look there are the brightest most amazing scenes and the fact that I get to take advantage of those colors makes me really happy!  I’m just soaking it all up now so that I can remember this during the drab days of winter when it’s so monotone.

When I think of my time with Yojaira one of the words that I would use to describe the time with her was, peaceful, she was so laid back and calm, the entire time. I think the pictures we did in this setting capture that essence perfectly.  She is loving her time in her last high school season of volleyball and the part she is the most excited for this year is graduation (which tends to be the trend with my seniors this year! :))

This time of year just happens to be really busy for my entire family with Kyle coaching in the evenings and weekends so more often than not I end up toting my little ones along for the ride and usually they are very content with that arrangement since it means they get to explore while I work.  For this session Yojaira brought along two of her best friends and my kids thought that just meant she brought along playmates ;) so we were all happy with that arrangement!  I loved my time with the most beautiful Yojaira and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening!

Maribel & Sipriano's Romantic Mountain Engagement Session {Leavenworth}

Some things that I absolutely love are, vintage/antique items, bright colors, being outside and autumn.  The reason I’m telling you this is because all of that combined in perfection for this session!  I love that Maribel chose a dress that had a vintage feel to it, and when I saw the dilapidated car on the property I knew it was going to be one of my favorite shots.  The time I spent with these two was so enjoyable and from the very beginning they were just the sweetest couple and genuinely love being together.  The cute comments and way they just naturally showed their relationship was the best.  We were so far out in the woods that we even saw bear poop on the trail we were on-I had never seen that in real life before!  Thankfully the closest we came to a bear was guard dog but that gives you an idea of the amazing location!  I don’t exactly live close to this area but it was totally worth the drive to be able to hang out in such a serene setting.  I hope you love these as much as I do!

The Simpson Family Columbia River Session {Brewster}

Every once in awhile there is a little one that wants to test my “baby whisperer” skills and for our session, Presley decided that she wanted to be super serious.  What she didn’t realize is that no matter what mood she was in I was going to make sure we captured her little personality.  While it’s always nice to get the traditional, everyone looking at the camera shot, that’s not always my style and really I end up loving the ones that are in the moment, even more than the traditional look.  This is especially great for toddlers because they rarely sit still and are much more interested in the world around them than in the stranger trying to get them to look in her direction.  My goal is always to tell the story though so whether that is the adorable way they run down the path with a stutter step because they are just getting those feet moving or if it’s trying to find the perfect rock to admire, those are what we do and in the middle there are always perfect moments.  And the longer I’m a mama the more I realize how easy it is to forget the little things so I appreciate it when there’s a way to remember those moments.

I first met Presley and her family when they came to visit me for her newborn pictures and seeing her so much bigger and with the most adorable personality is just the best!  I loved my time with the Simpson family!  (and if you want to know my favorite picture just check out the last one, it's just the best!)
