Kaitlyn Ingram Okanogan River Session {Brewster}

This river session is just the perfect bridge between summer and fall, a little bit of everything and with the neutrals that Kaitlyn chose she just seems to pop out of the setting in the most beautiful way.  I have actually known of Kaitlyn since we first moved to Brewster and that just shows you how long we've been here because she was in elementary school when I first met her mom!  From the very beginning everything was so easy and enjoyable, even if we did hike all over the place, and she never once complained. Most people probably don't get as excited as I do by pretty weeds but in reality those are my favorite places because of the wild adventure it just seems to add.  So, thanks for putting up with me Kaitlyn! I can't actually think of a session recently that hasn't at some time landed everyone in the weeds and they never disappoint!

Kaitlyn is planning to pursue education like her mom and that is just another reason why I loved my time with her, teaching and education are so important to my family and it's always great to know that there are going to be amazing new teachers coming up!

Maiz Kartchner {Brewster}

When a family is able to tie in things that tell their story, it is one of my favorite ways to go about a session. Whether it is a newborn set including dad's work tools or visiting a favorite or meaningful location, all of those are great ways to make the pictures "yours".  This perfect little girl came to visit me and we had so much fun!  I love that her lineman daddy brought along some work items and even though it's a little hidden, she's actually nestled in his hard hat!  Her name is Maiz Magnolia, and I think that combination is so sweet, especially since I'm already a fan of all things Magnolia!

I always try for a lot of detail shots in newborn sessions because there are just so many incredible tiny details from toes to fingernails and just like everyone says, it goes by fast so newborn pictures are the perfect way to freeze time forever!  Since I don't have any girls, these kind of days are the best because I get to enjoy all the pink and floral accessories and play dress up with them!

The Gebbers Summer Session {Brewster}

Wade and Kristina just celebrated their 7th anniversary and wanted to document that amazing accomplishment, which I absolutely love!  I think anniversary photos should be a new thing that catches on!  One thing that I love about the location that I didn’t even plan is that there was a whole bunch of goldenrod growing on the road and since yellow was one of their wedding colors, I just loved that it was included at least a little in these anniversary pictures too!  The entire night was really relaxed and so much laughter!

We have known their family for the last 6 years and I remember when I first met Kristina she was pregnant with Jackson who is now almost 5!  It’s wonderful to watch a whole family go through life and add members and add to their story and they are some of our favorites!  Kamden and Jackson are best friends and have a lot of fun together which always makes me happy.  The three kids also know me well so it wasn’t a stretch for them to hang out with me and be genuinely excited about our pictures and I adore them!  When I have a relationship with people I get to work with, it is just the best way for me to truly capture the family story and get those authentic moments with everyone.

 The kids begged to get "friend pictures"  and of course my little assistants were up for that!
Summer may be slowly fading but the fact that I live in a place that has all the seasons means that fall is just around the corner and that means my favorite time of year, which of course includes pumpkin spice lattes!
